The Heart Failure Society of South Africa (HeFSSA) actively encourages research and education surrounding heart failure in South Africa.

Young general physicians from emerging countries with an interest in cardiology/heart failure are encouraged to apply for the World Heart Failure Society Fellowship Award. The award, which is generously supported by Medtronic and the Sticares Foundation, offers full-time (one year) and short-term (3-6 months) fellowships.
