SA Heart Journal, 2011

HeFSSA (The Heart Failure Society of South Africa) has had a very exciting and busy year. They have initiated many activities and partnered with key players in the health industry to ensure that the goals in their mission statement, i.e. to promote education and research as well as collaboration on issues relating to heart failure in South Africa and around the world, are met.

Our dedicated HeFSSA Executive committee under the leadership of the President, Prof Karen Sliwa is: Drs Eric Klug (Vice President), Martin Mpe (Treasurer), Cristina Radulescu, Darryl Smith, Pro Obel, Jean Vorster, Tony Lachman and Prof Sandrine Lecour and the industry Exco representatives, William Stranix and Patricia Magagula. Without them the society will not be able to meet its numerous goals. It is with regret that we have to inform our members that Dr Dave Gilmer has resigned from the Exco committee.
